Share Links

Share Links are unique URLs that grant access to your wishlist. They’re perfect for sharing with people outside your Gift Groups — distant relatives, coworkers, or anyone you want to give access to.

Section titled “Creating a Share Link”
  1. Open the wishlist you want to share
  2. Click the Share button
  3. Select Create Share Link
  4. Configure optional settings:
    • Expiration — When the link stops working
    • Description — A note to remind you who this link is for
  5. Click Create Link
  6. Copy and send the link to your recipients

Expiration

Control how long the link remains active:

Description

Add a note like “For Aunt Martha” or “Work friends” to remember who you shared with.

Section titled “View Active Links”
  1. Open your wishlist
  2. Click Share → Manage Links
  3. See all active links with their:
    • Creation date
    • View count
    • Description
    • Expiration status
Section titled “Revoke a Link”

Need to stop access? Revoke the link:

  1. Go to Manage Links
  2. Find the link to revoke
  3. Click Revoke
  4. Confirm the action

The link immediately stops working. Anyone with the old URL sees an “access denied” message.

If a link was shared too widely:

  1. Revoke the old link
  2. Create a new one
  3. Share only with the intended recipients

View Tracking

Share links track basic analytics:

  • Total views — How many times the link was accessed
  • First viewed — When someone first clicked the link
  • Last viewed — Most recent access

Best Practices

Use Descriptive Names

Label your links so you remember who has access:

  • “Mom’s side of family”
  • “Office gift exchange”
  • “College friends”

Set Appropriate Expirations

Section titled “Set Appropriate Expirations”
  • Birthday list? Expire after the date
  • Year-round wishlist? Use no expiration
  • One-time event? Expire when it’s over

Periodically review and revoke links you no longer need. This keeps your sharing tidy and secure.
