Family Profiles

Family Profiles let you manage wishlists for people who don’t have their own Giverr account:

• Children too young for an account
• Elderly relatives unfamiliar with technology
• Anyone else you want to create lists for

As a manager, you can add gifts, share the profile’s wishlists, and coordinate on their behalf.

Actions

Create a Family Profile

1. Go to your account settings
2. Click Family Profiles → Create Profile
3. Fill in the details:
   • Name — Who is this for?
   • Birthday (optional) — For birthday reminders
   • Relationship — How are they related to you?
4. Click Create Profile

Create a Wishlist for a Family Member

1. Open the family profile
2. Click Create Wishlist
3. Fill in the occasion details (same as your own wishlists)
4. Add gifts on their behalf

Add Gifts to Their Wishlist

1. Open the family member’s wishlist
2. Click Add Gift
3. Paste a URL or enter details manually
4. Set the priority level
5. Save the gift

Share a Family Member’s Wishlist

1. Open their wishlist
2. Click Share
3. Share to a Gift Group, Event, or copy the link
4. Others can claim gifts just like any other wishlist

Edit a Family Profile

1. Go to Family Profiles
2. Click on the profile
3. Update name, birthday, or relationship
4. Save changes

Delete a Family Profile

1. Go to Family Profiles
2. Click on the profile
3. Go to settings → Delete Profile
4. Confirm deletion

Caution

Deleting a family profile removes all their wishlists and gift history.

How Claims Work

When someone claims a gift from a family member’s wishlist:

• You (the manager) do not see the claim — surprise is preserved
• Other givers can see and coordinate
• The gift appears in the claimer’s shopping list

The same privacy model applies as with regular wishlists.
